Adjuvants
Adjuvants are substances with no biological activity but can modify the physical or biological preparations Phytosanitary (dir 91/414 of the European Union).
An environmental opportunity.
Everything must be implemented for the treatment of crop protection reach their target (weeds, insects, plants to be protected) and do not end up in the natural environment. The additives help protect the environment by allowing a better addressing of spray droplets, reducing leaching and increasing the rate of penetration of active ingredients.
- In addition, our Végélux as adjuvants (mineral oil), TIPO (vegetable oil) and Trader Pro (non-ionic wetting) are without toxicological classification and have a very good biodegradability. Mineral oils have confirmed at wide range of public safety testing their good behavior towards the microflora and soil microfane (ONIDOL study) and earthworms (study INERIS).
- More recently Trader Pro received adjuvant will control the words used in the production of malting barley (IFBM study), thus meeting the expectations of the industry.
An economic choice
The right dose at the right time depending on the leaf surface to be treated is the assurance of maintaining a good treatment efficacy in protection reasoned. Adjuvants help reasoning rates and offset the amount of losses that may occur when preparing and spraying the plant slurry (alkaline hydrolysis, droplet size, surface tension, adhesion, spreading, penetration).
- Oils (Végélux and Tipo) are the best performing products in combination with anti-leaf grasses, they can very significantly reduce the levels of revenues and cost of treatment (study Arvalis).
- Improving the effectiveness of biological growth regulators premium of about 20%, the wetting (Trader Pro) keeps the program effectiveness while significantly reducing their costs.
A technical answer
The cuticle limits penetration of active ingredients (differently depending on their formulation) as a function of the wettability of plants, the vegetative stage, temperature, humidity. Adjuvants show their main interest at the cuticle by improving contact between the spray and the target by encouraging greater penetration of the active ingredient.
- Oils and as Végélux Tipo significantly improve the efficacy of anti-leaf grasses and regulate the action of sulfonylureas.
- The wetting Trader Pro allows both a better spreading of the drop and higher penetration provides a greater efficiency of growth substances used on cereals and rape.
